TAAS Research Council

The council is a sub-committee chaired by the director of Research and Employability. It works closely with other Committees and the Enterprise Advisory Group where interests overlap (such as innovation, commercial and social entrepreneurship, including doctoral training). It promotes TAAS’s research profile and its impacts, responsible conduct of high-quality research, and the development of a vibrant and inclusive research culture within TAAS.

Terms of Reference
  • • To inform the Academy community of external influences on the development of research.
  • • To formulate, approve and review TAAS positions and polices of relevance to research including concordats, consultations, and reports.
  • • To oversee research focus of the Academy Strategy and review international research alliances.
  • • To manage TAAS research infrastructure and stakeholder relationships.

Innovations in Education and Technology Conference

The Academy for Advance Studies (TAAS) decided with global partners to host an educational event titled ‘Innovations in Education and Technology 2023’. The conference will bring together scholars from the entire education sector and industry experts to share ideas and experiences with colleagues while networking and creating new synergies. This conference is an ideal opportunity for attendees to discover collaboration opportunities. Conference Key Speakers include:

  • • Prof. Vincent English, (FRSA, FInstLM.) CEO of Vernier Europe. Honorary Guest Speaker.

  • • Prof. Atanga D. Funwie , (Ph.D) President of Kesmonds International University (KIU) and the Board Chairperson for the African Professional Certification Institute.

  • • Mr. Nabeel Zaidi, (LLM, LLB (Hons)) Principal Consultant in Quality Assurance and Regulation (HE). Honorary Guest Speaker.

There is also a pool of Editors and Reviewers for the ICIET 2023 “Innovations in Education and Technology” Conference. The selection are experts in fields specifically matching the conference topics.
