Programme Overview
The Academy for Advance Studies (TAAS) was founded by a group of UK-qualified interdisciplinary academics and non-academics with extensive experience. TAAS provides a personalised and transformative learning experience to learners.
We aim to provide excellent and affordable education for undergraduate and postgraduate students in various disciplines. A guaranteed progression route with a UK University: BSc in Business Management.
Welcome to the Foundation Diploma in Business Management
- The FDBM qualification aims to enhance the student’s English language, mathematics, research, and study skills to progress to an English-based business management degree
- The program provides a progression route for undergraduate degrees with a university partner
- The FDBM course provides students with study skills for higher education
- The successful completion of the qualification should provide the student with a direct entry into the first year of a degree course
Entry Requirements
Students must meet the following entry requirements:
- Completed their GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels or an equivalent* qualification in their own country and passed 5 subjects with minimum grades of ‘C’, ‘4’ or equivalent* in each. These should include Mathematics and English
- Have a valid score of 4.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination or equivalent for students whose first language is not English
- Alternatively, students can take the free NCC Education Standard English Placement Test administered by the TAAS
- Tuition Fee: £TBC and funding is available
- Study duration:12 months (full-time)
- Delivery approach: Blended learning (face-to-face and online)
- Assessment methods: Coursework and oral presentation
- Study duration:12 months (full-time)
- Attendance: Two days a week on campus (Woolwich London)
- UK credits and ECTS: 120 and 60
- Total qualification hours (TQH): 1200 hours
• FDHBM is a bespoke qualification which allows students to gain relevant knowledge in the essential concepts and practices in the health and social care
• Students will be allocated academic tutors
Weekly lectures and seminar focusing on real-life scenarios in the sector
